Sh!t Brides Say

Excuse the french but really, this is pretty funny stuff. It reminds us to not take ourselves to seriously.

And brides, we are not laughing at you, just along side you.

Flower Pot Favors

As a bride and groom, you spend months and months planning for your big day and when it finally comes, you can feel like it's over in a moment.

But what if the memory of your wedding could keep growing and growing even after it's all over??

These custom seed pack & matching pot wedding favors we found on Style Me Pretty are such an awesome idea to keep the memory of your special day alive!

Step 1: Put together the design you want to go on your seed packet. Once that is finished, print it on the seed packet template.

Step 2: Fold the packet up and use double sided tape to seal the edges. Leave the top open to put seeds inside. Once the seeds are inserted seal the top edge so those seeds can’t fall out.

Step 3: Decorate your pot.

And you're done (you can find more detailed instructions here)! What do you guys think about this as a wedding favor??

Shoe Decals

Shoes, shoes, shoes, and shoes....these are a few of a girl's favorite things! And why not, shoes are absolutely fabulous, are they not? When I saw these new shoe decals on Etsy, I couldn't believe wedding shoes could get any better, but they do!

These decals are so adorable (and make for a great close-up photo of the shoes!).

How awesome of an idea are these??

Tissue Paper Lanterns

Being a wedding planner in Florida, I am big on tents at outdoor weddings (seeing as our Florida weather is always so uncooperative). I always love finding ways to add a pop of color or glamorous decorations to make sure the wedding is festive both inside and out.

These paper lanterns from Martha Stewart are so simple and would add such pop to any reception hall or reception tent!

Not only are they so perfect to add to your wedding day decor, they are SO simple to make and you can make them in any color to fit your event! AND it would be a great project to do with friends, over your favorite cocktails and chocolate!

You'll need: 1) Tape

                    2) Paper Lanterns

                    3) Paper Circles (can be found at HyGloss Products)

Step 1: Starting at the bottom of the lantern, use small squares of tape to begin attaching tissue-paper disks around the hole, overlapping them.

Step 2: Working toward the top, continue sticking and overlapping disks to cover the lantern.

And you're done! How great is this project?!?

Mailbox Card Holder

So yes, there are a lot of perks about your wedding day. Marrying the one you love, spending time with your closest friends and family, and let's not lie, the gifts aren't such a bad touch either. A designated card and gift table is a must, and in the midst of all the craziness it would be a shame for anything to get lost!

This mailbox we found on Martha Stewart Weddings is a gorgeous and fun idea for guests to put their cards in and make sure nothing gets misplaced!

So cute! And I mean, who doesn't love getting mail?!?

Fingerprint Love Necklace

Marriage....the joining of two people who have made a lasting impression on each other's hearts. Just like each real love, fingerprints are unique for each person. This necklace from Etsy is such an adorable gift for a bride who said "I do" to a man who left a truly unique impression on her heart.

Does this leave an impression on you too??

Words of Wisdom Table Settings

Going through life, it seems like everyone has their own advice to give on everything: dating, dieting, sports, etc....

But now that you're getting married and starting the next chapter in your life, wouldn't it be nice to finally get some advice you may be able to use?

These table settings we saw on Style Me Pretty are a great way to provide guests with an ice breaker at the tables (you know they'll all be sharing the stories from where they're great advice came from) and gives you the opportunity to gain some useful words of wisdom.

You can give each book a different topic and get all the advice you could ever need!

The best part? If you don't like it, you get to tear the page out!

His & Her Table Numbers

Love is timeless....love is ageless....and love is eternal. Youth, however, is not. Remember that heinous dress your mom put you in when you were 5 and had no control over your wardrobe? Or that ridiculous haircut you had when you were twelve? And pleather....how did that ever become a fad?

Well now that you're getting married and you've found the one that loves you, regardless of the fact that you used to wear bellbottoms, I think you should consider giving everyone else a laugh at your past. These table numbers we found at Project Wedding are such a fun idea to amuse your guests at your wedding!

How much fun are these?? Such a great way to bring back memories!

Guestbook Letter

Guestbooks are such a great idea to remind you of everyone that shared your special day with you, but sometimes books end up getting a put aside. Wouldn't it be so great if you use the guestbook even after the big day has come and gone?

The Kissing Tree

Via Angel Navarro Photography

Who doesn't love clinking their glass with a fork or spoon (but seriously, I don't recommend a knife. I may or may not have witnessed a glass breakage incident once or twice from an over zealous guest) and watching the happily married couple stop what they're doing and give each other a quick smooch at the reception?

Well, the creative minds over at Style Me Pretty came up with a fun alternative to glass clinking. It's an adorable and interactive way to request a kiss from the bride and groom at the reception call a "Kissing Tree"

Via Style Me Pretty

Here's how it works: Guests pluck a kiss-marked match book off of the tree and hand it to the Master of Ceremonies, who reads aloud what the guest has to do in order to make the bride-groom kiss happen. The tasks can vary from trivia about the Bride and Groom, charades, singing a love song- get creative with it!

You can make this Kissing Tree yourself by following the instructions right here.

"The bride and groom sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage..."

...c'mon. We weren't the only ones thinking it!

DIY Stamp Ideas

Stamps are a great way to really put your own personalized seal onto different wedding stationary and other paper goods. For instance, one of our brides used a horseshoe stamp on paper bags that guests could keep to put their shoes in while they danced the night away! It was a super personal and creative way to put her personality into a simple paper bag.

Now you can get even more creative with some awesometastic DIY stamp tutorials we stumbled across at April Foster Events!

This one uses bundled celery to make a rosette stamp and the result is simply fantastical.

The other stamp tutorial we thought was really neat shows how to make rolling pendant stamps from a simple piece of cork.

What an excellent excuse to use up that bottle of wine you have laying around!

Would you use these DIY ideas on your wedding paper goods?
