The First Big Question

Thanks to everyone who has participated in my Men and Makeovers Survey – Part 1 so far. Here’s the first of a few questions received from men:

“What do girls think of a guy who wears a pink shirt on occasion?”

If you think you have an answer, please submit it to Men and Makeovers Survey – Part 2. Contributions from both sexes are welcome.

Flowerless Bouquets

These bouquets would certainly last much longer than traditional flowers, and they are so sparkly and glamourous!  This one is made of vintage jewelry.

 Feathers, swavorski crystals, and pearls.

And how fun is this - colorful pinwheels!

O tempo voa – Time flies by

(Scroll down for English)
E eu detestaria correr atrás do tempo com estes saltos! Fora de brincadeiras, ultimamente não vos parece que o tempo passa demasiado rápido? Pois a mim dá-me essa sensação.

And I’d hate to chase the time wearing heels! Don’t you guys get the feeling that time really flies by? I’ve been getting that feeling a lot lately. It looks like time rushes through me so quickly that I’d be lucky to get half way done with what I intended to do in the first place…
In this outfit the skirt was made by me (click here); I really love how the black tights and the black heels create the illusion of longer legs elongating the silhouette. The long (fake) fur vest was recently added to my ever growing fur collection. I like wearing it over a top or layered over coats when we get colder weather.

Brazilian Blowout

Okay, so here is my hair on a day with no product, no nothing. This is what my hair would look like if I rolled out of bed and went some where... which by the way, wouldn't EVER happen... I mean, ewwww. Gross.

Never. People would run screaming... run in the other direction. Screaming. I mean really, how not fair is my hair. Lots of Running. Lots of Screaming.

But if I did. This is what it would look like:

Pretty incredibly NOT awesome.

What's the opposite of sexy hair??? Unsexy... yeah, that's my hair. Ghetto? Yes. Definately Ghetto-Gross!

Why would any one this earth think that it would look good to go out into public with this head of hair. They wouldn't. I wouldn't, ever, never. Never. And all that grey! Where in the world did that come from!!!!

So, I decided to get the Brazilian Blowout (which by the way, everytime I say it, it sounds a little dirty) and honestly if you are considering one, go to Glenda at Creations. She will rock your hair world!

Check out what she with my mop! My mop of a head...

And, I've already washed it and styled it and I love it!! I think that anyone who lives in Florida, and has any kind of frizz to their hair should do this! Get a Brazillian Blowout!

I feel like I have sexy hair!

I love it! Thank you Glenda at Creations!!

Autumn Canary Quilt & a OOP DeStash!

Chaos is a funny thing... i hate not being in control! so, to combat those chaotic times... i grasp onto thing i do have the power to change. so, this week i started with finishing the Autumn Canary Quilt. this baby quilt is for a Charity fundraiser ( which i will be able to share more information about during the week of Thanksgiving ). even though my family is going through some tough times right now... i am wise enough to remember that they're really are more people out there suffering worse then us... here's to hoping this quilt will make a little difference in someone else's life.

i also rearranged my sewing studio again. yes, i do move my furniture around quite a lot ( a control thing ) hehe... jeeze, these blogs do really show a clear picture of how you could come off!!! i feel like i'm normal, but i'm pretty sure ( as i look back through my posts) ... i'm a bit of a nuttcake! ;)

and in attempt to control more of my life, i've decided to do a major OOP fabric DeStash! i'm totally burnt out on holding onto fabric that i only keep for the fear of not being able to reacquire them anymore. and it's messing with my creative juices, so... i will be posting patchwork packages of my stash in my Etsy Shop. Unfortunately, at this time... i won't be able to create custom listings ( due to my family's needs and time restrictions ), but i will say this; they will be fairly priced, contain a variety of OOP fabrics, each package will contain patchwork size cuts of the fabrics, and all will weigh 1/2 a pound each. my hope is that these packages will bring a little joy to their new owners!! Here's what to expect to see ;)

you can find my shop here...

i better get busy!
