History tells us that the wedding ring has been worn on the third finger of the left hand as far back as Roman Times. The Romans believed that the vein located in what's now known as the ring finger ran directly to the heart. Because of this belief, the wedding ring was shaped into a circle to stand for ever-lasting love. (source of ring facts)

When in Rome...do as the Romans do. If you have a love that you know is everlasting...put a ring on it!
