Did you know... why folks celebrate St. Patty's Day?? Me either! until... now!
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years. On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast—on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.
I thought it was about... a lot of booze,
some... inappropriate jokes,

I thought it was about... a lot of booze,
some... inappropriate jokes,
and some... hot Irishman!
but, apparently... there's quite a bit more to it then i thought! LOL... pretty typical result of assumptions! ;)
So, when Miss Pat Sloan asked me to be a part of her (Tour Ireland) book blog-hop on this party day... i said, "UUuuuhhh... { H } yeah!" cause, i thought... again, booze, jokes, hot Irishman. Then i received her FABulous book in the mail and i was GREEN with ENVY! and NOT from what i was expecting, yet still fierce!! LOL Aaackk... you should see the countryside pictures, the cottages, the sheep ( wait did i just say that??? ), i mean the castles...
This has to one of my most favorite quilting books ever! It was like a little mini trip/ vacation catalog with quilt patterns! I mean come on... does it get any better then that! The book showcases 12 different projects that embrace Ireland... and i swear, i want them all and to badly go there after pawing through this book!
I do adore Pat, but i am praying she has a big hangover after making me this jealous! ;) kiss, kiss... sweetness!
