Camel, black and leopard – Camel, negro e leopardo

In this outfit I made the camel coat and the black sweater with pleather sleeves. The week is almost over and I’m grateful for that, I really need to rest.

Neste conjunto que usei hoje, o casaco camel e a camisola preta com mangas de napa foram feitos por mim. Ainda bem que a semana está a acabar, estou mesmo a precisar de descansar.

good times!

i've had quite a bit of good times this week! i've finally been able to work on this fabulous quilt top that miss Nova sent me last year! i lOVE the wonky string quilt with the Anna Maria Horner fabrics!! i just have to finish up stitching the binding and it's crinkle time! ;) Thanks Nova!! it will always be treasured in my home!

i have also just finished up my last 2 virtual quilting bee blocks! and by last 2... i mean { both } rounds are now over. ;P i can't say enough about how wonderful it is to participate in a VQB... they build skills, introduce new friends, and always keep you inspired! if you have yet to join one, jump over here and shake & bake! they are a party!!

Wedding First Look

One of the biggest debates for today's bride is to see her groom before the wedding or not to see him. For some it's an unequivocal no. And for others, it's a wellllllllllll, maybe, I'm not sure, what difference will it make, no, yes, wait I'm not sure.

I am not here to tell you to do it, or not to do it, but to tell you the pro's to having a "first look". And of course show you some pretty images from a first look.

My personal feelings on a first look is DO IT! Don't even think about it, do it. (Unless you feel like a bazillion years of bad luck will fall on you like a brick wall, and you will never see straight again if you see your groom before you walk down the aisle)

There is alot of emotion on your wedding day, and alot of that emotion and stress comes from not seeing your groom, your best friend, the man you've relied on your whole relationship. So the opportunity to spend 15 minutes before your wedding with him, holding him, in private, being able to look him in the eyes and see the man you love, kiss him, and tell him how handsome he looks, is a special moment. One you will never forget.

And make your day, so much more fun! And you'll get some great picture time!

i lOVE flowers and fabric!

i have been the biggest sucker for Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts for as long as i can remember, but i never wanted to start one for fear i would choose the wrong fabrics... and with all that hand stitching, well... let's just say, i would have been very "put off" not to love the quilt when i was finished! after quite a while it came to me to use Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley! this is a collection that grew on me over time, but luckily i did grab up the entire line... which i think will lend to the most beautiful garden! this puppy will take some time, but i think she'll be worth it!

i also have been buying some of the most fabulous fabrics lately, but haven't shared them with you all... my bad! i know i'm always hesitant to buy before seeing true pictures of fabric ( not the little shop images ) haha...

here's some heavenly Tammis Keefe prints!

some yummy new Jeneane Morrison prints!

Ooohhh yeah... crocheted flowers ( for those of us that don't crochet!! ) haha...

Tula Pink's Parisville in sprout!

new Munki Munki { bikes on flannel } & Cosmo Cricket!

New Munki Munki { Day of the Dead} !! fierce hugh!!

more delicious Tula Pink's Parisville!!

some fabulous staples!

and this is my new ( travel ) sewing machine! i am very excited about having a cute, little second machine to cart around with me to all my Sweet Hot Yam's houses for play dates! Now to name her... any ideas?? the one i pick.... i'll send a treat to the "namer"! ;)

Have a fabulous Monday my sweets!!!

a lovely weekend & winners!

I swear… my husband has a beacon on his head that says, “yes, I’d love for you to hit me with your car, it's my favorite!” hence, my tardiness… such a lovely weekend... bleh! Sorry, for the delay… lord knows, I would have preferred blogging with all of you then dealing with another car accident and all the ridiculous baloney that goes along with one! Jeesh… luckily he is going to be fine, again! ;) here’s the very lucky winners of the Greenfield Hill

I bought some civil war charm packs because they were on offer, when they arrived I wasn't too keen on them. I decided to do a disappearing 9 patch quilt with some cream fabric and voila!! I love it. Thanks for the chance to win
